Fun & Creativity

Art

At our setting, we use art as a tool to engage children in various traditions and cultural celebrations such as Christmas, Easter, and Chinese New Year. We offer a wide range of craft activities that are related to these events, as well as general arts and crafts that allow children to explore their creativity and develop their fine motor skills.

Music

We believe that music is an essential component of children's development, which is why we offer a diverse collection of musical toys and games at our setting. Through exposure to music and play, children can enhance their cognitive abilities, develop their social skills, and express themselves creatively. Our musical activities are designed to foster a love of music and encourage children to explore their musical interests.

We encourage children to experiment with different cooking techniques, including baking. We believe that cooking is a fun and engaging activity that helps children develop their fine motor skills and learn about concepts such as measurement and mixing. Together with the children, we enjoy making cakes for special occasions such as Easter, which not only teaches them about cultural celebrations but also allows them to take pride in their creations.

Outside Play

We offer a variety of outdoor toys at our setting, and we encourage children to explore the natural world through a range of garden-based activities. From planting flowers at our allotment to mark-making with chalk, there are plenty of opportunities for children to engage in sensory play and develop their creativity. We also offer ride-on toys for role-playing games, which not only promote physical activity but also help children develop their social and emotional skills. Our outdoor activities are designed to inspire curiosity, promote exploration, and foster a love of nature in children.

Our days out

From visits to soft play areas and local parks to trips to museums and activity centres such as the airport viewing park, Legoland, and the Sealife centre, we like to visit a variety of places. During school holidays, we can venture further and we visit places like the beach, theme parks, farms, and fruit picking locations, allowing children to explore nature and have a great time. Take a look at some of the places we visit.
